At All Saints, it is our goal that all people feel welcome and a part of God’s kingdom and ministry. This is especially true for our youth. People like to think of teens as the "Church of Tomorrow." We see them as the "Church of the Here and Now!" We want our youth to know and believe that they have a place as part of the Body of Christ with gifts to offer each other, the congregation, the community and God.
Café E is the name we give to our events that bring Jr. and Sr. High Youth and their friends together. All grades 7th thru 12th are welcome to these activities. Each week, we meet between services in the youth room for snacks and discussion, hang-out time and prayer. Then, about once a month, we offer some sort of larger event, designed to bring youth together in fellowship and community. Our Jr. High ministry is built largely around our confirmation program. In grades 7th thru 9th, youth are given a wide variety of opportunities for faith exploration as well as fellowship within their grade level. Some activities still sponsored by the church, but outside of the confirmation program might include ski trips, lock-ins, movie nights, etc. Our Sr. High ministry program consists of grades 10th thru 12th graders and their friends. As the program grows, we hope to establish the next level of ministry for Sr. High youth: Peer Ministry, which is a program that helps Sr. High youth identify their gifts of leadership, trains them and then gives them opportunities to work with younger youth as Peer Mentors and guides. Camping Ministry is also something that All Saints values tremendously! We are a member congregation of Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp in Amery, WI and every summer we send youth to camp from 3rd grade on up to 9th grade. We also offer a Sr. High Mission Trip each summer and we have a goal to add a Jr. High Summer Service Trip and a Sr. High Boundary Waters Trip in the summer of 2009. Of course, in order to make all these wonderful opportunities a reality, we rely heavily on adult volunteers.
