For the youth in grades 7th-9th, there are many different special events, like lock-ins, retreats, pizza night, youth quakes, and many other monthly activities. There is also a three-year confirmation program that is started in the 7th grade. There are learning events, fellowship events, service events, and retreats for each grade. There is also a weekly Bible study gathering on Sunday morning between services in the youth room. We talk about current events, look at religion in the movies and music and whatever else the youth would like to learn about.
After confirmation, there are still many different opportunities for the Sr. high youth to be involved in. Peer ministry is a way for the youth to remain involved in the life of the congregation. This program is a leadership-training program. When the youth have been trained, they continue on with serving in different areas of the life of All Saints.
Also for the Sr. high, there are monthly gatherings, retreats, special events, concerts, youth congresses, and opportunities to help with the Jr. high and other events. We also have a servant trip for the Sr. High youth to attend and fundraise for each summer.
Families are the key to faith formation in the life of a child. We value family very highly here at All Saints. We want families walking with their children and youth as they walk in their faith. We have opportunities for families and adults to participate fully in all the Jr. High and Sr. High events and gatherings. Parents can get involved through chaperoning, planning events, being on a ministry team, or just supplying something for the events. Helping with your child's faith is a very important part of both your lives.
There are also opportunities for your family to grow in faith. Through different Bible studies, worshiping together, working together on a service project, or being involved with your child's Confirmation and Sunday School time. Sharing your faith with your child is quite important, and will help your child to develop into a mature Christian adult later in life.
